Use cases for a Batch run
Parameter operations
  1. Prepare the existing text file edit_parameter.txt that is provided in the configuration/lists folder to match your intended use case. You may find more information on this file here.
    1. Apply different parameter values to a set of dedicated models
This may be necessary if you want to import a large set of data into a Windchill system to match intended parameter values and types.

    2. Harmonize different parameter value types
If your existing database has models that have different value types for a parameter, you may want to set the value type in all models to i.e. ‘STRING’, no matter what previous parameter value type was.

    3. Replace an existing parameter value with a different value
If you fill in a value for the PARAM_VALUE column and the NEW_PARAM_VALUE column, the intended parameter value will only be changed if the given parameter value matches. In this example the parameter value will only be updated, if the original value is ‘abc’.
