Finish the Cooling Circuits
  1. Before running the waterline analysis, finish the cooling circuits in the moving and the fixed half.
Run the Analysis with a Target Part
  1. Click EMX Components ▶ Cooling Component ▶ Image Show waterline .
    The Show Waterline dialog box opens.
  2. Make sure the option Include Components is enabled.
  3. Make sure the option Include Reference Model is enabled.
  4. Click Image to start the analysis.
    A new model TUTOR_WATERLINE_0 will be assembled, the surfaces of the cooling circuits will be copied and included components will be assembled.
  5. Leave the dialog box with OK.
  6. Open the model TUTOR_WATERLINE_0.ASM to check the result.

    The assembly contains several parts:
    • WATERLINE_ES.PRT: Contains all the waterline surfaces from the moving half.
    • WATERLINE_IS.PRT: Contains all the waterline surfaces from the fixed half.
    • All the insert reference models if included.
    • All the cooling components if included.
    • WATERLINE_ANALSYIS.PRT:A part that represents the copied waterlines as solids if selected.
    It is possible to show either all cooling circuits from the fixed half or from the moving by using the predefined representations in the assembly.

  7. Switch back to TUTORIAL.ASM.
